Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Burrell was born in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for a year, taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) located in Tuscany. While in Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This has had a profound impact on how Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. Additionally, she is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate where she has a mission to raise awareness for young diabetics. as a speaker, guest and teacher she travels across the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her profession. Anne declared that she felt fortunate in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
